Do they serve breakfast all day?
Whenever we go to the beach, we always stop at Yana's. The food is wonderful! They have some of the best onion rings I have ever tasted. The only reason they get four stars is the wait. It can take a long time to get in, and sometimes, take a while to get your food. Luckily, it's very good and worth waiting for!
MoreYana's is working out the kinks on the social distancing thing but the food is still as good as ever. Fritters are still great.
MoreBest burgers and fritters
We love Yana's! It's a beloved staple of downtown Swansboro and for good reason. The food is great and the decor is quirky 50s diner with floor to ceiling memorabilia (be sure to stop in the bathroom to say hi to a life sized Elvis) , the service is friendly and warm, the food is wonderful and the location is perfect - after breakfast you can wander around downtown Swansboro or relax on the deck chairs in the Swansboro gazebo and watch the birds and boats on the water. We didn't get fritters this trip, but if you've never been they should absolutely be the first things you try! They are to die for, battered and fried chunks of fruit (entire giant strawberries) covered in powdered sugar. Not sure if it's a sneaky way to have to dessert for breakfast but I fully support it. The blueberry pancakes, omelets, dinosaur pancake, hashbrowns (home fries really,) and burgers are also all excellent.
MoreGreat small town diner. Staff are incredibly welcoming and courteous. The food is cooked fast and to order. Wall to wall decor of Elvis and Marilyn Monroe, with menus fitting of the 50s diner. Well priced and you have to try the fritters that the diner is known for. All in all a nice home place one the bay that any NC native would recommend.
MoreGreat breakfast! Nostalgic ambiance
Fritters as usual were fantastic, just went today for dessert...
Good service, a great simple shrimp burger, and a very hospitable environment
Oh my!! DELICIOUS!!! The world famous fruit fritters were a cross between funnel cakes which by the way is my favorite fair food and deep fried deliciousness!! Worth the wait!
MoreFood was good and polite staff very friendly
Fun place with 50's theme, Elvis and Marilyn everywhere. Genuine Wurlitzer junk box belting out 50's music. Very good Reuben and banana split.
More1st time customer and I was extremely satisfied. The peach’s are in season and the Peach Fritters were amazing. The service was top notch because “all” the staff are involved in making sure you’re taken care of. We never had an empty glass of Coke and our empty dishes were whisked away. Every employee had a smile. My wife had the Fab 45 which are 3 fruit pancakes and bacon. I had the Shrimp omelette and oh my god was that good. I added Jalapeños which was a plus. I loved it and will return. Why 4 stars? Well it was a little warm in there so I felt bad for the staff (upgrade your HVAC system)and I also felt the tip jar is kinda lame.
MoreGood food every visit. Always crowded! What's on the menu is served all day!! A bit of a dive for sure but it has been going strong for quit awhile now. If you haven't stopped by it's a must if your in the area...
MoreWe love the peach fritters here. Today they were kinda small portions compared to previous visits, but everything still tasted great! Fun place to visit. Great Elvis and Marilyn Monroe motife along with wonderful 50s music!
MoreGreat food wonderful people
Fritters! Fritters! Fritters!... Peach if in session. They're unreal..... Breakfast is the go-to but don't overlook the great lunchtime fare. Burgers are fantastic.
MoreDo NOT come here. Check my previous reviews of places. I'm fair and impartial. I'm telling you right now that it's not worth it here. It took over 45 minutes to get 2 basic omelettes. Watched 3 other tables that came in after us get their food, eat, and leave before we got our food. That entire time, we were pretty much ignored. Only once did someone walk by to refill coffee. Staff was rude, wouldn't even make eye contact with us, and practically ignored me when I asked for some hot sauce. The only time they apologized for the wait was when we had already finished our meal. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the food came out correctly and warm. Not amazing tasting, but at least warm and correct order. I am not leaving a tip which is an extremely rare thing for me to do. Fix the service and care about your customers and maybe we will be back. But until then, I do NOT recommend this place. There are better places to go in the area.
MoreThe food was great and the atmosphere just as good. Our waiter was fun and we even had a visitor come around, apparently a common occurrence. Eating seafood on the waterfront, there are not many things better than that 😎
MoreSmall town diner feel, good diner food, great service, staff was exceptional. If you cant find the entrance, just look for Elvis.
MoreAusome service great food enchanting atmosphere
Our server was young and appeared to be overwhelmed-- we tipped her more out of pity than service.
MoreGreat breakfast. Staff is friendly a d quick!
Great old fashioned, Elvis themed, more than a soda shoppe. Great breakfast all day. Kids love it so it's always busy, sometimes hectic, but in a good way. In the heart of Swansboro.
MoreWe ate breakfast and it was pretty good. The atmosphere was pretty fun, lots of Elvis stuff. The staff were very friendly in the service was very fast. A couple of small changes would make this a better experience. The pancakes were good but could have been much better with real butter! Biscuits served with the eggs didn't taste home made, could have been better. The coffee was typical coffee shop grade. The bacon was great. Overall, I would recommend.
MoreI have gone half a dozen times this month... best place around for breakfast. Fruit fritters and the more traditional plates - great omlets.
MoreIf you pass within 100 miles of Yana's restaurant and don't stop you should be ashamed. Every member of my family and every friend I've ever brought to this place loves it. Great food. Great staff. Great small town area.
MoreBest place in town. Food is great along with the customer service
Amazing food! Had the Grits and Shrimp loaded. Yummm!
Yana's has a great 50s feel, and value that just cannot be beat. They serve monstrous juicy Savory burgers for lunch and they have a breakfast menu that is worth getting up early for. The only minor downside to this place is that in the summer it is very very busy during tourist season, and is not exactly a great spot for a quick lunch, because you will be waiting.
MoreCute diner. We had a nice big table in the back for 8 adults and 3 kids. Service was good. Food simple but good. Fritters are excellent.
MoreGo for breakfast.
The staff are very nice and there pancakes are HUGE. Has a small diner feel and the food was great.
MoreNostalgic little Elvis-themed diner with good service and okay breakfast. Coffee was decent and refilled regularly, the food was standard, but nothing to write home about. Shrimp & grits were good, but a little less flavorful than expected. Veggie omelette had plenty of flavorful veggies & cheese. Hash browns left the most to be desired, though, as they were actually small cubed home fries vice shredded hash browns, and seemed to be only potato with no other seasoning or flavor. The service was friendly and attentive, and made the overall experience of the place better.
MoreI have eaten there a few times. Every time it has been busy. The staff is friendly and the food is very good. If you go plan on a little wait. Not very good parking, you may have to park a few blocks away. Hey but you will need to walk off the large portions they serve!
MoreGreat food Great wait staff! These girls (and boys) deserve a raise! Jon Jon and Evelyn (owner and manager) are outstanding. They always have a smile on their face and an upbeat attitude. The food is amazing. Love the 50's theme. The home fries are so good! Whether it's breakfast or lunch, they got you covered. You won't be disappointed I guarantee it!
MoreThe food is a great flash back to the 50's. If you are looking for a small old school restaurant feel then this is a must. You will not regret this choice.
MoreGreat local spot for breakfast. We love the fruit fritters.
Absolutely love this small business and the owner Miss Evelyn. Evelyn started this Ivonic and delish friendly establishment eay 40 years ago. She is an Awesome Treasure of Swansboro. Let her know if you see her Robert and Norman from The White House on Freedom Way, semds their love.
MoreAlways get the SOS it remind me of growing up! Great food and awesome staff
Went for breakfast had to wait a while for four people even though they had tables empty. The waitress was a older lady and not so friendly. She didn’t recommend anything. Eggs over medium were over cooked, pancakes had no taste, grits were bland, soda was bland and no service after they delivered. This place needs a major renovation... everything was dirty. Carpet from the 70’s and a 94 which we couldn’t see how. The cooks left twice for breaks and never came in and washed up this was after we ate and we then knew that was a mistake. Out of all the breakfast places near by we would highly recommend to find another. Disappointed to say the least.
MoreVery friendly service, good food
Love Yana's only thing is its very small and crowed but the food and ambience is great esp6the fritters we had the apple today yummm!
MoreBest, classic food! 50's diner feel wirg awesome burgers and amazing breakfast!
This is one of the best breakfast places I have been to in the area. I was nothing but impressed with the service and the short wait times and the ability to maintain full seats without having to wait. Even more importantly the fritters were absolutely amazing and are a must try. The cheeseburger and fries a were good, but could only be prepared medium well or well done. Still amazing. I will absolutely come back here and take visitors when they come as it is in a great locale near the water.
MoreOMG! I HAVE to visit this place when we go to Swansboro. Sometimes we just made the trip out there because we love it there. The fritters are the best. I have been going here for 10 years 2010 since I moved to NC. The food has never disappointed us. The wait sometimes has but, we understand. Everyone else loves Yanas too. Staff is awesome! Fast and FRIENDLY.
MoreWaitress had a hard time getting our order correct. Brought it to her attention and she said it was correct on the ticket, but when she gave us the ticket it wasn't on the ticket at all. Attention to detail needed for this waitress and a lot more integrity.
MorePerfect for breakfast, prompt service, reasonable prices. The place is extremely small- a dozen tables & 4 bar stools and that is it. If you're in a big hurry, I'd likely skip it. We arrived at 10am and waited an hour before we were seated.
MoreGreat waitress and food!! Had the lunch special and yum!! Topped it off with a scoop of ice cream.
MoreGreat place to go for breakfast!! Their western omelet is delicious and i love the homemade jelly☺☺
MoreFantastic fritters! Love atmosphere! Friendly staff.
